Things To Do:
The Andaman and Nicobar islands are bestowed with the reputation of housing some of the most delectable and gorgeous islands in this entire planet. Thus it constitute one of the major temptations for the anxious holiday-makers. Basically, these water sports and related activities are most enjoyed by the adrenaline freaks who prefer to take risks. But there are other water sports as well which are suited for the ones who are not so much adventurous.
The Andaman Water Sports Complex is a spot which remains filled with people who like to try their hands at the adventure sports and activities in Andaman and Nicobar islands. There are options like water skiing, Aqua-cycles, speed boating, Gemini boating, kayaking, wind-surfing and many more.
Snorkeling is another water sport that is considered to be one of the most coveted amongst all the adventure sports and activities of Andaman and Nicobar islands. In this, the snorkeler has to swim on the surface of the sea with his head immersed in the water. The chief snorkeling equipments include a snorkel, a wet suit in case the temperature of the water is low and a diving mask along with a pair of swim fins.
Among other adventure sports and activities at Andaman and Nicobar islands is scuba diving which is practiced by many water sport enthusiasts. In this the scuba diver has to carry an artificial breathing apparatus beneath the surface of water to observe the marine life without any hindrance.
Other varieties of adventure sports and activities of Andaman and Nicobar islands are trekking and island camping.

How To Reach:
By Ship:
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands stand in the midst of the Bay of Bengal. Therefore, one should not miss the fascinating experience of reaching Andaman and Nicobar Islands by ship. Passenger ships connect Kolkata, Chennai and Vishakhapatnam, which are major cities of mainland India with Port Blair. These ships are available on a regular basis and help one to make a tour to Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
On an average, in a month, 3 or 4 ships are available from Chennai and Kolkata to travel to Port Blair. From Vishakhapatnam, one ship is available per month to travel to Port Blair. It takes around three days to reach Port Blair by sea. A ship generally halts for around 2 days at the seaport before leaving it to start a reverse journey, that is, from Port Blair to Kolkata, Chennai and Vishakhapatnam.

By Air:
To travel to the Indian union territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, it is most convenient to avail the airport located at the capital city called Port Blair. From this place, one can easily travel to the important cities of mainland India like Chennai and Kolkata. Flights are operated regularly between Chennai, Kolkata and Port Blair. A few major airlines that operate such flights are Jet Airways, Indian Airlines and Air Deccan.
